Fighting my thoughts through riddles
Questions escaping in witless rhetorics
If I could clearly identify the variables
Perhaps I could use graphical solutions
To find the equilibrium
But you are less complicated than algebra
Less dramatic than figures
hiding in Products and functions
You are beautiful in the simplest of ways

To guide through the confusion
To give even when they had little
To discipline the stray tendencies away
To teach when they weren’t listened to
To cheerlead even when ey saw us losing
Some stayed not because they knew how
But to be a better example of the fatherhood they never experienced
